Hunt Intermediate students were recognized at Monday evening's Board of Trustees meeting for their outstanding work at the recent MSMS Superstar Math Competition.

Jace O'Neal and Michael Hood were both honored before the varsity boy's basketball game this past Friday night.
O'Neal graduated last year and scored his 1,000th point during the last game of the season.
Hood scored his 1,000th earlier this season at Meridian High.

The Columbus Middle School football team received a big surprise today.
Volunteers from the community, CMSD alumni, and coaches have been working hard to revamp the team's weight room. New paint, improved weight-lifting equipment, and workout jerseys were presented to the student-athletes.
A group of community members and alumni joined together in a Facebook group, "Birds of Feather" to spearhead the improvement campaign and get others involved.
Coaches went over expectations for the team and explained how they can help building a legacy, but the work must first start in the weight room.
