Today CMSD administrators visited Franklin Academy and celebrated Ms. Edna Hall as the District Teacher of the Year. Superintendent Dr. Stanley Ellis was excited to celebrate Ms. Hall for all her hard work with her students at Franklin Academy.

VAPA Night was a HUGE success!
Stars shine bright at CMSD. We are thankful to all the parents and community members for attending our VAPA night performances. For those who came, they enjoyed performances from our theatre classes, choir, CMS band, CHS band, and an art gallery.

This is the first year for our Fairview Elementary School Student Council. For this month's service project, each class is raising canned goods to support those in need throughout the holidays. Student Council President Joyce Ayoola said she's excited to see the school become more involved in the community.
"Feeding the people of the community is important and will help students get the education that not everyone has everything they need and these canned goods can really help," Joyce said.
Let's continue to work together to lift up our community! Parents, community members, and volunteers: feel free to make any canned goods donations at The View, just ask to speak with our counselor Mrs. B.

Everything we do is student-centered here at CMSD. We just held professional development for the use of AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication Device).
