COLUMBUS, Miss. (CMSD) – The Columbus Municipal School District is excited to announce Homecoming festivities planned for this week. The Falcons will take on Caledonia for a cross-county game on Friday night.

A “Homecoming Assembly” will be held Tuesday, October 7th at 6 PM. The Columbus High School gymnasium will be fit for royalty as the Homecoming Court will be introduced to the crowd.

The Mini and Junior Courts, along with sweethearts from clubs and sports representatives will also be there for a special presentation that you do not want to miss.

CMSD students can enter without a ticket. All community members must have a ticket. The court representatives are given a limited number of tickets for participation.

Doors open at 5:15 PM. A clear bag policy is in place. Entrance to the “Homecoming Assembly” will be closed at 5:50 PM.

A Homecoming Parade will be held Thursday, October 9th at 5 PM.

Line-up for the parade will be at Fairview Baptist Church beginning at 3:45 PM.

The parade will proceed down Browder Street and turn right onto Highway 182. All the fun will continue down McCrary Road and end at the CHS tennis courts.

A "Block Party" will be held after the parade in the CHS football stadium parking lot.

Food vendors and a DJ will be set up for the family fun event. Parking will be set up on the home side of the parking lot.

On Friday (October 10th) Falcon fans can tailgate outside the stadium before the game begins at 5 PM.

Court sweethearts will be introduced before the game at 6:40 PM.

Kickoff is set for 7 PM.

The Royal Court Presentation will be at halftime.

All ticket costs and policies remain in place for the homecoming game and activities.
