Huge thanks to proud CHS alum and District Attorney Scott Colom for the tree planting ceremony at Cook Elementary School! We are always thankful to our Falcon Family for giving back to their roots. The ceremony is a part of our continued efforts to curb violence in our youth. Thanks Scott for all you do!
"We plant trees to acknowledge the emotional pain and trauma of losing a loved one to gun violence and to help heal it," Colom said. "The time it takes trees to grow symbolize the time it takes to heal from that trauma. We also plant to prayerfully discourage others from causing that pain and trauma."
Here at CMSD, every decision is made in the best interest of our students. We will continue to build bridges among students, parents, community, and all district employees to provide students the skills necessary to be college, work force, or enlistment ready. Thanks again to Scott Colom for all you do!
