School Bond Information

We want to thank you for your continued patience and support as we begin the next phase of improvements funded through our $36 million bond referendum. If you've noticed construction equipment, rerouted foot traffic, or changes in pick-up and drop-off routines, you're seeing progress in action. Currently, our teams are working on upgrading sprinkler systems to enhance campus safety and protect our facilities, along with repaving and improving our parking lots to ensure smoother traffic flow and better accessibility for all families. Our goal is to create a safer, more efficient, and welcoming environment for every student and family. Thank you for your understanding and support as we continue to make meaningful strides forward. Together, we're building a stronger school community, one project at a time.
Below you will find an updated list of projects and the estimated amount of work that has been completed.

Athletic Complex

•      Projects: Field house renovation, batting cages, restroom addition, running track resurfacing, and drainage.

•      Estimated cost: $10,111,053.33

•      No bids at this time.

•      Work has not started.

 

Columbus High

•      Projects: Parking lot, fire alarm, doors, fire protection, secured entrance, auditorium renovation, & upgrades.

•      Parking lot is complete

•      CHS Building: renovations are 26% complete

•      Total Estimated Cost: $2,217,700.55

•      Parking lot bid: $1,218,977.82

•      Parking lot to date cost: $999,597.01

 

Cook Elementary

•      Projects: Fire alarm, cameras, doors, fire protection, restroom renovation, parking improvements, playground improvements, new ceilings, and lights

•      Renovation is 80% complete

•      Estimated cost: $8,217,622.70

•      Bid: $3,637,575.00

 

Sale Elementary

•      Projects: Fire alarm, fire protection, cameras, doors, restroom renovation, new roof, HVAC, new ceilings, & lights

•      Projects are 95% complete

•      Estimated cost: $5,448,430.08

•      Bid: $3,435,998.00

 

Stokes-Beard Elementary

•      Projects: HVAC, gymnasium, fencing

•      Projects are 50% complete

•      HVAC estimated cost: 392,600.04

•      HVAC bid: $199,712.00

•      HVAC to date cost: $163,049.08

•      Estimated new gymnasium/fencing: $2,841,209.25

•      Gymnasium/fencing bid: $6,476,665.12
