The Columbus Municipal School District is excited to sponsor the second annual Read-Right-Run event. Read-Right-Run is a district wide program which promotes literacy, good deeds and physical fitness. Students are challenged to read 12 books, do 12 good deeds, and walk/run 12 miles beginning January 30th and ending March 23rd. Students who complete the Read-Right-Run program will receive a medal, other incentives, and participate in a Fun Run/Walk at the new Columbus High School track on April 13, 2016.
Teachers, Librarians, and PE Coaches will be tracking each child’s progress at school. Parents can support this event by reading with their child, encouraging them to do good deeds, and walking/running with them. Our goal is to have 100% participation at the Read-Right-Run Fun Run/Walk celebration on April 13, 2016.
