GRADING PROMOTION RETENTION & GRADUATION PROCEDURES
EFFECTIVE DURING THE MANDATED SCHOOL CLOSURE
Grading: All classes will be graded Pass/Fail with a numeric value of what was earned in the course. A passing grade will be 65% or higher for those courses.
Promotion: Students must pass all core academic areas with a passing average of 65% or higher.
Core classes: English Language Arts, Math, Science, and History/Social Studies.
Retention: Failure to pass Reading and/or Math with a recommendation from a principal with support documentation from MTSS.
Graduation: Pass all required courses with a 65% or higher.

The Superintendent is directed to design and implement additional policies and procedures regarding grading, promotion, retention and graduation pursuant to the authority granted by the State Board of Education and the Governor of Mississippi in response to the current and all future declared State of Emergency by the President of the United States and the Governor of Mississippi.
