Center for Creative Learning Math Grant $2,000 awarded to Mitchell Elementary to differentiate math instruction through the use of manipulatives.
Center for Creative Learning Reading Grant $2,000 awarded to Ms. Debbie Murray to incorporate trade books into her reading program. Students will use books in addition to or instead of the reading basal. Students will have the opportunity to read high level books of their interest. Congratulations Ms. Murray Weyerhaeuser Mini Grant $1,800 awarded by Weyerhaeuser to purchase nonfiction reading material in the classrooms and school library. Team Nutrition Grant
$5,000 awarded by the Mississippi Department of Education to promote healthy food choices and physical activity into Mississippi Schools. Mitchell students and staff were able to participate in Chef-4-the-Day events and start a Walking Club. Students walked over 600 miles during the first two weeks of the program!! |
