è What is Talk About It? - Talk about it is an anonymous internet messaging program. - And it allows students to talk to faculty members about their problems or concerns.
è Since you will communicate anonymously. What does this mean? - Anonymous means having no known name or identify. - Talk About It will allow you to communicate problems or concerns without faculty members knowing who you are.
è How can Talk About It help you? -Think of this program as your online personal counselor. - It allows you to express personal problems or concerns such as bullying, peer pressure or fighting. - More importantly, talk to someone without getting in trouble of being seen by your friends.
è How do you access Talk About It? - Because it is an online program, you can access the site from any computer with an internet connection (just like online email)
è Where do you go to login? - Go to the Lee Middle School website and click the AnComm logo or Go to www.ancomm.com and click the school login link in the top right corner of the page. - Then choose Lee Middle School from the login list.
è How do you login? - Use your lunch number, for your password, use your last name.
è What happens after you login? - You must update your personal profile. - Remember, no one sees this information except for you - it is a private profile. - Please enter your email address, and if you do not have one, please leave the space blank. - Then change your password to something other than your last name.
è How do you compose a message? - When you are ready to send a message, click the COMPOSE button on the top of the screen and then: - Choose to send it anonymously or not - Next pick a message topic - AFTER you pick a message topic, then choose a faculty member to speak with, and - Type your message and press send
è What happens after you send a message? - Faculty members will receive a message from Anonymous. They will not see your USERID, PASSWORD, EMAIL, ADDRESS, or NAME, and - They will reply back to your message during school hours, so if you send a message at night, you may not receive a response until the following school day.
è How do you check your messages? - To check messages, you must log back in to your account using your User ID and New Password.
è What if I need help using the service? - You may click the help button to see an online video of how the site wants, or - You may click the Comments button to send suggestions to the AnComm office.
è So why else might you use the site? - Each week you can vote in the online poll. - You may take surveys, - Access games, and - Read school news
è What is someone abuses the site? - The site is designed to help you discuss problems and concerns. - If you send fake messages, pretend to be another student, or use the inappropriate language YOUR ACCOUNT WILL BE CANCELED. - This means that you will not be able to access the site for the rest of the school year.
