Greeting Parents of the Columbus Municipal School District!
As we maneuver this period of social distancing to protect the health and well-being of both our students at CMSD and our community, we want to ensure our students continue to receive the best education in light of the current circumstances. If you have internet access available, please allow your child to continue to access their iReady lessons through Clever and complete 45 minutes of instruction in Reading and 45 minutes of Math instruction. After your child has completed his or her 45 minutes of instruction in each subject for the week, they may use the iReady Learning Games to improve math fact fluency.
In addition to iReady, we have compiled a list of online resources for our students to use. Please feel free to use any of the available resources as they have been vetted and are appropriate for our students’ educational success.
These resources are in addition to the packets that have been developed by your child’s school. All academic packets for students can be picked up at your child’s school location during the CMSD meal times beginning on March 17, 2020 at 7:00 a.m.
Reminder Meal Times are Breakfast 7:00 – 9:00 a.m. and Lunch 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at every school location.
Thank you for your continued support of the Columbus Municipal School District.

Under the guidance of the Mississippi Department of Health and the Mississippi Department of Education, the Columbus Municipal School District is taking precautionary measures to reduce the exposure of the Coronavirus to students, staff and the community.
If you feel sick with fever, cough, or difficulty breathing, and have traveled on a cruise ship or out of the country or were in close contact with someone with Covid-19 in the 14 days before you began to feel sick, seek medical care. Before you go to a doctor’s office or emergency room, call ahead and tell them about your recent travel and your symptoms.
All athletic and school field trips are canceled until further notice.
This is an evolving situation. We will keep you updated through social media and email as we continue to follow the guidance of public health officials and the Mississippi Department of Education. We want to reassure that we will always keep your safety and health a priority.
