At Cook Elementary Fine Arts Magnet School, library is an enrichment program that supports learning in the classroom and the visual and performing arts program. Students in all grades learn to appreciate books and understand their value while enjoying reading and conducting research based on the national standards outlined in Information Power/American Library Association. They learn library organization, appropriate library behaviors, and how to select materials based on purpose and reading level. Students use technology in the library as they participate in the Accelerated Reader Program and prepare for state testing.
