Med Tech students in the lab are learning, Aseptic Handwashing Technique, the first of many skills required in basic nursing practice.

The Med Tech program at McKellar Technology Center is a two year program that teaches students basic nursing skills in the first year and medical field careers in the second year. Ms. Melanie Ford and Ms. Linda Kyle are the instructors of the program. They are both registered nurses and graduates of Mississippi University for Women.
 

Dr. Phillips recently visited the Falcon Flyer Newspaper Staff. The staff interviewed him about his plans for the district and he shared information with the students about his former education and experience.
